South East Regional Representative - Dr Anna Reed

Dr Anna Reed qualified from the University of Southampton in 2006 and completed her GP training in Wessex in 2012. Since that time she has been working as a GP in North Hampshire. She has been a Partner held the role as Managing Partner leading the executive board for a very large practice and PCN. She is currently Regional Medical Director for a Primary Care at scale organisation leading the oversight of clinical care and governance for her region as well as involvement in national projects.

Dr Reed is a Fellow of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management and has a particular interest in developing the role of the Clinical Leader, especially promoting opportunities for women in Clinical Leadership roles.

In her GP work she is a Foundation Year supervisor and works to ensure training at all levels continues in her practices. Her area of clinical special interest is women’s health, she holds the DRCOG, DFSRH, is a coil and implant fitter, and has additional qualifications in menopause care. She has developed menopause care in her region and been asked to speak to a variety of organisation on menopause and HRT.

Dr Reed has the privilege of representing her GP peers from the North Hampshire region for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Local Medical Committee. She has had experience in a variety of other roles including working for the North Hampshire CCG and working as a Medical Member of the Ministry of Justice.

She is married to a teacher and has two young children. In her spare time, she can be found ferrying her children around and occasionally managing to fit in some baking and various sporting endeavours. In 2022 she completed an ultramarathon and has more recently taken up powerlifting.
