We are inviting nominations for the following positions on Council:
- Welsh Standing Committee Chair
- South West Region
- East of England
- North East Regional Representatives
- Medical Women’s International Association (MWIA) National Coordinator
The successful candidates will take up office after the MWF AGM on Friday 15th May 2015 at MacDonald Manchester Hotel & Spa, London Road, Manchester M2 2PG. The term of office is 3 years.
The positions are open to all qualified members (doctors from foundation to consultant level and/or equivalent) and we would very much like to encourage enthusiastic members to apply. On this occasion we will not be accepting applications from students.
The most important factor is to be able to attend the 2 council meetings per year in November and May which follow the MWF National Conferences. With regards to MWIA National Coordinator position you will chair the bi-annual MWF International Meeting (in May and November) and coordinate with Northern European Vice President & MWIA Secretariat on a regular basis. As coordinator you are expected to attend as many MWIA conferences as possible (at least three within your term of office). Travelling to these events is self-funded, however you will be re-numerated for attending MWF council meetings. Please see the trustees’ job description.

A typed CV – 1 side A4 maximum stating name, date of qualification, grade and brief career resume. Please also submit separately a brief personal statement detailing why you are suitable for the post applied for along with details of your MWF membership and service.
