The London Marathon is a world-renowned event offering an incredible experience for runners. From the iconic route through the heart of London to the energetic atmosphere created by charity supporters, it’s a race like no other.
How to Get Involved
We have one charity place available for the London Marathon 2026. If you’d like to represent the Medical Women’s Federation (MWF), we will be opening applications over the next few weeks - so watch this space! By participating, you’ll help us support women in medicine and advocate for gender equity and women’s health.
If you are successfully selected for a place, we would ask you to pledge to raise a minimum of £2000

If you’ve already secured your place in the 2025 or 2026 London Marathon, we’d love for you to run on behalf of MWF. Together, we can make a difference for women in medicine and healthcare.

Parkrun for the Medical Women’s Federation
Date: 8th March (International Women’s Day)
Location: Parkrun locations nationwide
Take part in parkrun and turn your weekly 5K into a powerful way to support the MW). Whether you’re running, walking, or volunteering, parkrun is a fantastic opportunity to stay active while raising funds to empower women in medicine and advocate for women’s health.

Find a Parkrun Near You: Visit www.parkrun.org.uk to locate your nearest event and register for free.
Sign Up for Team MWF: Once registered, let us know you’re participating on behalf of MWF.
Start Fundraising: Visit our just giving page and invite friends, family, and colleagues to support your efforts to make a difference.

Santa in the City Charity Run 2025

Get into the festive spirit with the Santa in the City Charity Run, a magical event that combines holiday cheer with the joy of giving. Run or walk dressed as Santa through London’s iconic streets, passing landmarks like St Paul’s Cathedral and the Thames. This fun and festive event is perfect for all fitness levels and a fantastic way to support the Medical Women’s Federation (MWF).
How to Get Involved
We have a limited number of charity places available for this festive run. Join Team MWF to help us support women in medicine and advocate for better women’s health.
Register for a charity place:
We have a number of guaranteed places, so register today to run on behalf of MWF. Register for an MWF charity place for just £20 (this is non refundable and payable on confirmation of your place). Pledge to raise a minimum £200.
